  • Foster productive and professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities early, implementing effective mitigation and realisation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage project costs and hours, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the commercial team.
  • Oversee the development of project schedules and engage with the wider delivery team to ensure timely execution.
  • Liaise with the commercial team to handle scope creep or variations, ensuring clear communication and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Review project documentation and drawings, raising technical queries and concession requests as needed.
  • Manage the ordering of materials, equipment, and subcontracts in line with project needs.
  • Chair meetings and provide concise, accurate reports on project status and progress.
  • Evaluate project performance and identify best practices and areas for improvement.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the fabrication or heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Experience using Primavera or MS Project for planning and scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of contracts and the ability to read and interpret them.
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and undertake material take-offs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to drive project delivery with a “front foot” approach and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
  • Experience with cost and revenue management, as well as problem-solving and decision-making.
