- Description
- Our client is a large fabrication company servicing a variety of sectors from their busy North East facility. Due to recent projects won they now require an Expeditor for a one year fixed-term contract that could lead to further work.
The Role
Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth physical flow of materials through their production plans.
Work across the team to prioritise tasks ensuring that production deadlines are met by having the right materials in the right place at the right time
Collaborate with cross-functional teams with seamless communication and action delivery
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials through the production process, at times material handling
Identify bottlenecks and proactively suggest solutions for process improvement
Monitor production schedules and monitor inventory to anticipate potential problems and mitigate them ensure timely delivery and completion
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and delays
Maintain quality control standards, and safety protocols at all times
The Person
Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects at the same time
